I love Sven.

I remember back in the day when Pearce was here and Sven was at England. People wanted Pearce to take Svens place. The irony when Sven came to City and did a far better job cleaning up the huge mess that Pearce left.

The guy was a class act and much better than Hughes ever was. I'd have loved for him to get the first shot with the money instead of Sparky and his obsession with RSC.

In fairness Pearce had a lot of picking up to do from Keegan who had left us over 60 million in debt and with a shambles of a team. Pearce had very little to spend on the team but still kept us up with a very modest budget. The football as a result did suffer unfortunately and Pearce was the one that took the flack. very harsh to blame Pearce given the circumstances.

Pearce played David James up front. 10 goals at home says it all.

Just watched the interview. Sven is a such a player. Can imagine Sven in that setting picking up bird after bird in that house of his with the fire lit up like that.

To be fair Pearce did the best he could with the cr^p he had. Not much of a mess more of the situation he was placed in. If you're talking about a mess then that would be the one Mancini had to sort after that clown Hughes and his Taffia left us with.

You're not the only one. Could have been very interesting that

I did like Sven but conceding 8 goals away in one game was enough for me thanks.
