Just been on the BBC News that the "mourners will be led by David Beckham" ?
That's incredibly insulting to Sven's family. Lots of people including many other former players will be there, no idea why he's singled out for the headline. The Beckhams must be one of the most over hyped brands in the world.....

I thought this might have been in Sven's mind and it fixed my decision not to turn up nor send a bunch of blue roses.

They were good friends and if that’s happened it will be what Sven asked for. He planned his own funeral.

What is really annoying is that on GMB earlier they were interviewing two world war Wrens aged 99 and 101. They interrupted them to show beckham, hodgson and del olio arriving for the funeral. Utter cunts.

The BBC have long since relegated the sacrifices and heroism of Britons during the war years to existing celebrity and general **** puffery. The Corporation will be forever remembered for the episodes containing Savile, Harris, Hall 'n Edwards.
