Apart from Cole Palmer that looks a pretty strong side to me.
That defence is awful. After playing his cards midway through the season Eric Garcia shouldn't play for us again - he simply isn't a good enough player to justify it. Also, you can't risk both Doyle and Palmer in the midfield, we might get away with one, but not both.

Swansea are very good at the minute. This game is going to be tougher than most of our PL games over the last month.

He will play a strong side Pep he always does , we only have Ake , Kun and KDB unavailable at present ( Walker not listed on physio at all currently and most likely rested against Liverpool ).

Personally I have no problems if he starts or has Garcia on the bench given Ake is unlikely to start as Stones or Dias or both could be rested for Saturday.

Walker, García, Laporte, Mendy isn't awful.

With Swansea flying I guess they are playing at a level similar to the lower part of the Prem. Need to put out a decent team, as we would for the likes of Newcastle or Brighton.

But their players go into the game with the attitude of an everton or leicester because theyre high on confidence. Newcastle turn up beaten every time.
So potentially a harder game than most prem games.
Good start, solid defence and an early goal and its comfortable

Had a look on their forum last night

A lot of their fans think they should and will play a load of fringe players... as promotion is far more important

However comments from their manager in the last couple of days suggest he'll play a strong team

Swap Laporte for Ake and that's the same defence that gave away 3 penalties in one game.

I agree it's still a very good backline in the grand scheme of things, but when you compare it to Cancelo, Stones, Dias, Laporte, or when you put an inexperienced goal keep behind as well as a couple of inexperienced midfielders in front it makes it very shaky, to say the least.

Considering how comfortable we are in the league right now, ensuring progression in the FA cup should take priority over the league game on the weekend in my opinion.

I'm not convinced Swansea will put out their strongest team. There priority is getting back into the premier league & they have games every 3 or 4 days atm. They must know that realistically they're not going to win the cup.

Everyone's got their own opinion on Garcia which is fair. Last season I was happy enough for us to play Sane knowing he was going to Bayern, but that was because Sane is an unbelievably talented player. I honestly don't think Garcia is good enough. I don't think he's physical enough to make it as a top CB in England. He's not bad on the ball, but out of possession, he's like a headless chicken. He's leaving at the end of the season anyway, so why risk our success for a player who's offering nothing?
