It actually wouldn't surprise me hugely if we took our eye off the ball and got knocked out. I don't say I wish it. I shall never want us to get knocked out of any competition. But it honestly wouldn't surprise me. Swansea, incidentally, have a very good defensive record in the Championship. The best across all four divisions. They will also want revenge (Sergio scored an offside goal if I remember rightly).

Swansea has conceded 15 in 27 games. By far the best defensive record in the Championship. Stones, Dias, Cancelo, Rodri, Gundo, Bernardo and Foden should get a rest with only 2 days rest before Swansea and then 2 days before Spurs. With lots of rotation this will be very very hard

Yeah I think it will be one of Bernardo of Foden eventually. Maybe even swap them after a while so none of them plays the full 90.

I'd love to see Palmer but I just don't see Pep doing it now. In fact I wouldn't be surprised to see Doyle not start, although it'd upset to me. Agreed that we should give our midfield options as much rest as possible, especially until KdB is out.
