Delph/Fernando is the only two positions that I think is debateable (honestly it's too tough to project). I think this is the perfect game to try out Vinnie/Stones and to see what Yaya is willing to show us. The whole point of the game for me is giving Sane a full 90, seeing how the kompany/stones parternship looks, and also finding how what Yaya will show us. Whatever lineup we decide to throw out will make us favorites so why not learn something along the way?

I agree with all your points mate :)
 
I love Yaya and I'm so grateful for what he has done for us, but I wouldn't play him in any game this season. There is no way he will be able to press and run as much as is needed in Pep's system. Also I would much rather play somebody from the EDS squad anyway. they will be guaranteed to try their heart out and it will help their development.

Or just get rid. We all know what he's capable of and he'll slow down this midfield. Look at the second goal on Saturday, Bournemouth would have had 10 behind the ball by the time Yaya crossed halfway in Kev's position and we would have been 2-1 down before he ambled back to where he was meant to be.

You aren't telling me anything I don't agree with. You don't think a club legend on 200k+ doesn't deserve, at worst, the appearance of a run out? His agent would be going wild if we were 5-2-1 right now. I think it's worth it just for the facade.

No, I don't think he deserves a run out. It was clear the club didn't want him to stay and tried hard to get him to leave, but he chose to stay regardless. Ridiculous Wages have nothing to do with if he should be playing or not. At this point I would much rather play a kid. First it would show the other lads they have chances to play and second it would actually be beneficial for us in the future. And if you agree he would slow down the midfield what do you think he would be bringing to the side?

I'm with you both. Reports came out today he's starting....just trying to rationalize it and make sense of it. If he fucked off and never played again for us I'm fine with that.

As far as what would be bringing to the side? Expecting nothing at all but we have Pep and maybe something can be brought out of him. I'm not a sentimental fucker at all but it would it not be nice to have another option?

They wont need a rest right now but we are playing twice a week now for a long run and there are only a few weeks with 1 game until Christmas. You rest players when you can. There is also the issue of getting some game time into the fringe players who need it.

I think we sill see a few changes but a strong team in any event.

Players do not need to be rested after a handful of games they are just getting into the swing of things and getting there fitness level up to speed

Pep obviously disagrees as he felt the need to rest Stones and Otamendi on the weekend because they had "played many minutes"
 
Thought the ban included League cup and he would be available for the league game at the weekend ?
