Swansea (a) Post Match Thread

As a team performance today, from a team trying to qualify for the CL, it was a f**king shambles. Yes we have probably done it, but the performance of many was very sub standard, despite the chances we managed to create. Luckily Swansea didn't give a shite either, if they had we'd have lost.

There is no I in team, and today every player out there had an I in them.

Pep has a huge job sorting that mess out, and I hope that many blues give him the time, though I doubt it.

Thanks Manuel, some good memories from that first season, but I'm very glad you've gone, good luck wherever you end up, I doubt it will be in England.
After a summer of rest, I think most fans will take stock and see nothing is guaranteed in this league and even Guardiola will need time. The few who jump on his case at the first draw or defeat will be an irrelevance imo.....

Staggering given your stance on Pellegrini and insistence he has the beat squad in the league.

Surely Pep also inherits that best squad in the league so why the softening of your position and sudden dumbing down of expectation?

Unless of course your stance on Pellegrini has had nothing to do with the odd draw or defeat?

Pellegrini got it spot on. Despite the players hardly putting in an effort we still should've won easily. But let's blame Pellegrini for the players not taking their chances and opportunities to make it an easy afternoon. As it was Pellegrini to be blamed for the Swansea goal that got a complete deflection.
I hope for City's sake Pep will deliver what is expected from him. As for the fans l await their comments as soon as results don't go his way. They will be on here moaning before l can say told ye so.

Who is this god that blew the last whistle of the season that all the moisten tampons and flappers are thanking? The sense of entitlement of said posters might force this site to change its name to red moon. Fucking rags the lot...

Correct me but, has Pellegrini been the most successful City manager ever? -at least until next season.

¡Muchas Gracias Manuel! que te vaya muy bien.

Yes Pep will need time to adjust to the league and to shape the squad to his liking. Pellgrini had the best squad in the league throughout his 3 years here and and managed to take us back 7. On September 1st we can accurately judge everyone's squad and I'm sure ours will be up there with the best or hopefully continue to be the strongest. The difference is I hope we have a manager who can make more use of the tools available to him unlike Pellegrini.

Many people told you as soon as it became blatantly obvious that Pellegrini was taking us backwards, but you refused to listen. Just get over it fella and move on. Or you can always do us a favour and follow him to his next job.

Pmsl. You've just exposed yourself pal for what you really are.

Just got back. We got what was needed and a good mutual appreciation at the end, now on to better things. City!

You've had an incontinence problem for some time now, I suggest you try Pampers fella.

I've been steadfast in my opinion that Manuel was taking us backward and have never wavered even you were part of Pellegrini's attack pack trying to tell the world otherwise. I'm sorry your football musings aren't up to much, but as I've been telling you for ages if you wanted to see where we were going to end up, all you had to do is look back to where we were coming from. Our regression was plainly there for all to see........ but you couldn't see it through your tears.

Personally, I think the 2011/12 squad was significantly better than ours this year. It had more balance and depth and in De Jong, had a very easy way to flip to a 433.

Toure, Kompany and Silva were all younger and better than they are now (not to mention the fact they played more rather than the injuries this season).

That was a great squad that year.

What game were you all watching? We put in the effort for a win. They were lucky to score from a deflection. Enjoy we got 4th at the expense of United.
I've read a few pages and I have to agree. It didn't seem all that bad apart from the appalling finishing. Aguero and Nacho were both guilty of being greedy when in sight of goal messing up some good opportunities. I was so pissed off with Kelechi that I wanted him subbed at half-time. 18 attempts to their 5 and we could only find the back of the net once - bloody hell!
