How do folks, we are Swansea Independent the largest Swans fans forum. We have a few reports on Wednesdays game coming up. It isn’t being seen as anything other than an interruption for some. The league is now taking precedence. We had a few cup games in recent times. Here’s a review

Safe travels for those attending the game.Report No 1 on Man City in the League Cup

Cheers for now
I think you mean "it's seen as an interruption by some".

I often hear that O'Reilly is not a left back, and that he played in midfield for the academy.

What is his best position? 3,6,8,10,11? He made a nice assist for Haaland vs Everton.

With RAN back (I hope), can we play RAN at left back at Swansea and move O'Reilly further forward? If so, where would you play him? I think he's good at carrying the ball, but I think we will want to play Foden as the no. 10 so I would try him in the no. 8 position.

Imagine RAN at no. 3, O'Reilly at 8, and Doku at no. 7, we'd then have 3 very strong players on the left, and should be able to overlap and underlap Doku taking some defenders away from him. He nearly always gets doubled marked.

Thanks for that. Looking forward to the game. Do you happen to know if the Felindre park and ride is still operating?

Where do you recommend for some boozing?

Would like to see Marmoush, Khus, Cherki, Kovacic and Ait-Nouri all starting as they all need game time. Haaland, Dias, Foden and Gvardiol can all have the evening off.

every player returning from injury or on the sideline to be played bar rodders who. I woupd let have. few more fitness sessions.

rest reijnders and haaland who. haven't had a game off

3 at the back stones or ake could be swapped put to rest dias

Lewis ad OReilly as wing backs and foden and cherki tucked behind marmoush, kova uses as a link between Nico G amd the forward 3 rather than double pivot, we leave dar too much. space in the 25 yelard area most games so sit him just ahead of Nico

I think I would rest Gvardiol and play RAN if he is fit. RAN wasn't on the bench at Villa so I am not sure where he is. If RAN is available, then we could move O'Reilly into midfield role. We need a player who can break into the box and perhaps O'Reilly could be that player?
