We were very, very lucky. Never a pen for us and Serge half a yard offside. This place would be in fucking meltdown were the boot on the other foot. As for BT commentary, it was very fair, no hype when they scored, very complimentary to us when we fought back. In a nutshell, we got out of jail.

I agree with both but I still think we would have scored at some point and won in extra time. They were dead on their feet once Bernardo scored.

Why there is no VAR at some games and it is at others is ridiculous

VAR would have seen us out because that was never a pen.

As I've said in another thread, it was the most featherlite of touches, just about grazed the ball with his boot so to me a clear penalty.

Players feel that generally they have to embellish every penal offence or the whistling wanker is not gonna give a trip where an attacker just ends up on their knees. Just watched Bournemouth game and Dean gives a pen for some wrestling in the area. Why does he not give a pen for the other 99 identical bits of wrestling? I think the days of just looking and judging whether a player has been tripped in the area have long since gone. You now need to be theatrical with it or the ref will not be convinced.
