Swedish Elections

About 12 months ago (after Trumps outburst about Sweden) a guy on youtube called Tim Pool did a series of articles regarding Sweden .
He went to Malmo, visited and stayed at one of the supposed 'no go zones', and interviewed various people from the area, including local politicians, residents & refugees.
It was a pretty interesting set of articles, and it seems he at least tries to give a balanced view of what's happening in Sweden, and the attitudes of the people there.

Above is one the articles he did, with a full range of comments in the comments section.

It's like having a perfectly healthy body, but getting a pain in your toes and running to the hospital.

So - not unexpectedly - Sweden is not overrun by immigrant rape gangs operating in no-go areas causing the collapse of a liberal society. I don't expect the American pro-Trump press to report otherwise but the level of ignorance in our press and on here is highlighted.

And if Brexit becomes harsh on the UK all it takes is one charismatic orator to put the blame on the EU for all our misfortune and some great propaganda and you can start winning votes.
Anyone who believes that the EU should be to blame for Brexit becoming harsh on the UK is beyond help. We’ve chosen to leave and must deal with the consequences.

You’re a charmer.

No idea why you are so triggered over an article about the Tories being in bed with far right groups like the Swedish Democrats or my disdain for it. Care to clarify?

I’m crystal clear Bob.

You are unable to debate a simple and legitimate subject such as immigration without calling people racist.

It’s bigoted behaviour.

I wasn’t discussing immigration nor did I call anyone racist.

We were discussing links between the Tories and far right groups like the Swedish Democrats. A poster contended the Tories are not far right and I replied that I would judge them on the company they keep and the alliances they make as like minded people flock together and all that. You can agree or disagree with my sentiment I’m not arsed. Nor am I arsed about the name calling but at least wait until I commit the offence before rushing in.

What about the company you routinely keep on the Brexit thread!?!

There is a sizeable minority, I think, in most of the 'northern' countries of the EU who would favour leaving, and the EU apparatchiks are adopting a stance with the UK that, partly, is meant to deter any other country which thinks leaving is a better option. We are not on the receiving end of an attitude that accepts the result of the referendum, and it is clear that the UK's money has gone a long way towards fulfilling a good number of political and economic aims that the EU hold dear, and they are attempting to screw as much out of us as they can get away with. It is interesting to see and hear Barnier talk now compared to the hard-nosed, bloody-minded approach of twelve months ago. I think a fair number of European firms have had words with their national politicos and they have bent Barnier's ear a touch. Personally, on behalf of all those lying in British military cemeteries I'd wring his scrawny neck!
