i think the main reason was the penalty, it was so obvious and he needed var and everything while being perfectly positioned to see it directly. i’m sure he did see it ;)

we had a bad tournament, i’m not making excuses but that doesn’t mean he did a good job, fouls, yellow cards, stoppage time, that hungarian player was resuscitated on the pitch and that was 10 mins. but then it turned out his husband’s italian. nice one uefa, nice one.
