SWP- Past his sell by date!

Have to agree with the OP, barring the first few months after his comeback, he hasnt been the same player. People can say, well he scores goals, and he might make an assist, but the old Shaun used to be able to run at players and destroy them, had a bagful of tricks and had the lot basically. This season however he's been poor imo. At the Palace game, people said he was our man of the match, but apart from that goal, he was shocking. Yesterday, yes he scored, but was awful. He's been like this all season, and was also like this from about February to the end of last season. I would seriously start Weiss for the Arse and Chelski games. Despite the fact that people will say he's too young and isnt upto it, thats bullshit, he's already a full international (and yes, i know, his dads manager but so what) and for me could be THE next big thing. Weiss for me looks like Shaun did when he started off 8/9 years under Royle and Keegan but better. Hughes-less is too inept and gutless to make changes, but hopefully if and when a new manager comes in, they'll have the balls to make changes. I hate to say all this about SWP, but it has to be said.
spot on m8!!!! but we still love him dont we!!!

SWP did nothing all game first half until he scored, for the first time in the game he didn't over do it, he shot early and we scored, before that he was getting on my tits, was loosing the ball and crossing it to late, i don't think he will be starting soon, definitely gonna be on the bench.

As much as people love him and think that hes city prodical son that doesn't mean he stays in the team, if he plays bad he gets dropped, personally i'd give weiss a chance before he fucks off cause hughes isn't gonna play him.

If the rest of our attackers scored once then did nothing bar tireless defensive work we'd win every game 6-0. Better than the rest of them who decided to by pass the scoring before they did nothing.

I can't be arsed reading the whole thread, but i trust someone has pointed out he's scored four goals and set-up another five so far this season?

His confidence his low, absolutely, but that's not bad going.

EDIT: Actually eight assists.

I tried that in the other thread but apparently it's meaningless.

Now i rarely post on here, due to the amount of abuse people recieve for posting there opinions but i would like to express my opinon here.
Im a fan of SWP and go to every home game and when i dont attend away games watch them on tele or online, so dont bother saying 'do you even watch city or any of that shit'.
Some of you on here need to take of your anti-SWP glasses off here and at least think back to yesturdays game, some saying he NEVER BEATS ONE MAN? I believe he beat stephen hunt who took a swipe at him when he scored? and i seem to remember him beating his man once or twice but because another two players were on him wasnt able to get any further, as i seem to recall him beating a few men in the second half, like when he should have won a penalty?
Most of you moan when people get on other players backs because they have a bad game or 2, but when its SWP getting behind your players doesnt seem to be to relevant. If barry's having a few mares as he appears to have had all we get is 'he needs a break, give him a rest' but when SWP has a bad first half its GET WIESS ON NOW. I agree SWP isnt outstanding all the time and weiss should be given a run out or subbed on in most games but most of you are wanking over a player youve only seen play 10 or so minutes of premier league football and thinking hes the dogs balls. Well get an ounce of common sense and get behind him, no matter how much you friggin moan, its not gonna get him dropped is it? Wingers are supposed to get goals on assists? He's done that brilliantly this season as stated before and wll do alot more defensive work in one game the Robinho will in 3 games. Im not saying he's brilliant all the time but for some people he cant put a foot right and the opionions seem unfairly biased. Rant over.

;o)

wouldnt say hes past his sell by date but he does seem unwilling to go round his man on the outside when he gets the ball. whether this is a confidence thing or somethng else i dont know.
