SWP

it would give us another forward player who can actually cross a ball.

The whole post but especially this bit deserves to go alongside "Petrov at left back" in the classics thread ;-)

It looks almost certain that SWP will be off in the next few days.

And while his time at City as a winger is clearly over, wouldn't it be a decent shout to give him a go at right full back until Boateng is fully up to speed?

He's played there before, he could give us that attacking option we are still lacking, and for home games it would give us another forward player who can actually cross a ball.

I hope we're not too hasty in off loading SWP as I feel he could do a decent turn for us at right back for the rest of this season.

TBH, SWP's a decent right-back everytime I've seen him fill in there. He was our original right wing-back when KK was in charge and we had Benarbia & Berkovic in the middle with Foe (RIP) just behind.

I don't ever remember SWP as a right back, though I do recall him playing ar right wing-back on many occasions.

Not starting as a right-back, but I remember a couple of matches where he was moved there as emergency cover & did well. I'm sure he also did this for England once too.
