I'm struggling to get my head round how evil some of these twisted bastards are.

It's got to the point where I wont click the links on websites because there really isn't anything I can do and it's frustratingly devoid of sense.

Not knowing what to believe or who to believe anymore.

Just watched the video on the BBC. Got out of bed and went and gave my little one a kiss as she sleeps in her cot. Lost for words. Doesn't happen very often :-(

it's horrednous and you are right that many foreign militant groups getting involved.

Looks like genocide to me, these videos make me feel so sick inside, these children are being massacred.

Entire Cities are being eradicated, churches burned and children murdered.

I wish this madness would end and pray for the innocent people being massacred for religious, political and financial gain

With trouble in Egypt and Syria, if these militant groups get their way how long before an attack on Isreal?

I have a friend who was born in Syria and wish his family stay safe!
 
It is desperately sad for the Syrian people They are between a rock and a hard place. Assad on one side, Al Qaeda on the other. There can't be a happy ending that's for sure. The best way out I can see right now is a quick Assad triumph followed by a move towards a democracy along the lines of Lebanon's. Lebanon is a long way from perfect but the majority need representation in Syria and the minorities need protection. What neither need is to be ruled by fucking Taliban Mark II with genocidal scores to settle.
 
Proxy war. Foreign mercenary fighters, aligned with Al-CIAda, involved in Libya, fighting for the geopolitical interests of their sponsors. If Assad/government falls, and the Jihadists get their victory, Syria will be another Iraq; which is all part of the grand plan...

Protests against Assad began very early in 2011, peaceful and organised by Syrian peoples.

Once these people began to be murdered or disappeared then other groups began to form.

The main reason he has survived is because he has been propped up by Iran and Russia.

To simplify this situation as "Assad on one side, Al Qaeda on the other" is simplism at its worst.
 
It's fucking terrible. We used to show the effects of nerve agent on animals as part of the NBC training in the RAF. I never imagined I would see children suffering the same. Barbaric is too tame a word to describe this.
 
Somebody just signed the Assad death warrant. UN weapons inspectors in-country, Assad's forces making numerous strategic gains. Somebody is observing this footage of convulsing, frothing children with a huge grin on their face.

Indeed, they did. I've mentioned that in saying the majority need representation which is currently being denied. Assad needs to go eventually but Al Nustra, the Al Qaeda affiliates, are by far the strongest faction amongst the rebels. It's hard to see beyond them gaining power if Assad is defeated through force of arms.

Most Syrians want Assad to triumph by the way.
