I have wondered if there was oil in Syria, and I came to the conclusion that there can't be, given the fact those nations happy to invade various countries before have just left them to it. I've seen some clips of what goes on over there and it is beyond fucked up, the level of violence used. Well if the UN produces clear evidence of a chemical attack then Russia has no choice but to come on board, they will just want to make sure they get there piece of the deal. No one can win this. Russia go to war when attacked so won't go to war over Syria although they will make some noise undoubtedly. It's a difficult one this, I fear we will only drag out the suffering of the Syrians...but he needs telling you don't drop chemical bombs on civilians - the best case would be it forces the regime to the negotiating table but so far Syria has managed to always go for the worst case.
