Syria (merged)

If this all kicks off i.e US and France bomb Syria and escalates. What are the chances of a WW3 and how likely would the use of Nukes be.
Im quite happy in my job and house I would hate to be given a gun and told to shoot a "bad" guy who was being forced just like me

Use of nukes wont happen & with all the problems actually getting "limited action"off the ground in the 1st place i cant see it escalating.
The actual threat of action has had a huge impact on Syria & is part responsible for the millions fleeing the Country,.
At this particular moment it's the highest number of displaced people anywhere in the world," he told reporters in Geneva. "Syria has become the great tragedy of this century — a disgraceful humanitarian calamity with suffering and displacement unparalleled in recent history.
Horrific state of affairs & one we should be nowhere near.

Well luckily we are not involved but if it ramps up then we may be forced to be involved if not to protect our own interests

Sorry but to say the threat of action is the cause of the humanitarian disaster is just plain wrong. The exodus from Syria is caused by the civil war and the worlds inaction. They didn't all get up and leave last week!

17 minutes if your attention span can last that long. I'm pretty sure I know the people won't be able to concentrate that long....
Well I am now suitably depressed.

Josh, why do you only care about the corruption in the American goverment ?

where was your posts about Mali during the Azawad rebellion ? Mugabe and countless other regimes killing there own ?

All you show is a passion for bringing down America when other nations are causing misery and murder everyday.

I said "part responsible"which is a very fair statement,as for the "in-action"bit,its been the actions taken that have been the problem.

Add North Korea, Tibet, Yemen, Uncle Tom Cobbley and all, the only country ever attacked is Uncle Sam, it does have its faults, but fuck me.
Naivety personified, born of idealistic youth, I'm afraid.

Russian warships cross Bosphorus, en route to Syria

Three Russian warships crossed Turkey's Bosphorus Strait Thursday en route to the eastern Mediterranean, near the Syrian coast, amid concern in the region over potential US-led strikes in response to the Damascus regime's alleged use of chemical weapons.

The SSV-201 intelligence ship Priazovye, accompanied by the two landing ships Minsk and Novocherkassk passed through the Bosphorus known as the Istanbul strait that separates Asia from Europe, an AFP photographer reported.

Yes but they haven't left because of the threat of US strikes. Which was your point! About 5000 leave per day and have been for the last 12 months.

Here is a UNHCR report from last month well before Assad gassed the kids. http://www.unhcr.org/520e158f9.html Plenty more facts on the UNHCR site.

Actual factual proof from people fleeing because of possible airstrikes ,plenty of other reports from people who see the threat of US bombing as the final straw.
My point is made.i'm right you are wrong,i'm done.

Rubbish.
your quote
The actual threat of action has had a huge impact on Syria & is part responsible for the millions fleeing the Country,.

It has not had a huge impact you are confusing the exodus with a very few who have left because of the threat of strikes.

The interviewees in the last article even want the strikes! Read the UNHCR documents rather than ABC news and google.

Got a horrible feeling that Dai Cameron is going to go against his word and the wish of parliament and join in with the impending invasion of Syria.
