just thought hughes deserves some praise for the kompany and weiss substitutions, very effective, vincent makin a statement that he wants in and weiss with a couple of good runs and a quality goal

Yeah. Some posters think that Hughes has failed because his subs haven't taken the game by the scruff of the neck and turned disaster into delight. Worked well on Wednesday.

I have been very critical of Hughes tactically naivety but I want him to succeed, for stability sake, but I am not frightened to give praise in equal measures to criticism when deserved.

Yes good timely substitutions at last by Hughes, they worked well. Even better he was on the touchline the whole game, leading and seeing to be leading the team. We played much better as a team and the defence looked better organised, Lescott was awesome, as was Bellamy and SWP, in fact I cannot think of a player who had a bad game, we need to keep this committment, drive and tempo up now for all our games.

So well done Mark and players that was much better, lets keep it going now.
