Bit different that the Rus/Ukraine situation as the Republic of China and Peoples republic of China are still unofficially in a state of civil war, though more younger Taiwanese wish to be an independant country and cut ties with any claims as the exiled Chinese authority and there being two chinas, The PRC consider it a rogue state of China and many countries still don't recognise it.

America historically stir most of the shit up where the two chinas tend to work out an amicable co-existance and keep the staus quo, there is no reason to think Xi will do a Putin, unless pushed, china have more to lose than russia did

Has anyone noticed that the US have military installations all around China in the Pacific, yet have an issue with 'chinese aggression' in that China wants to have ownership of a bit of territory that a quick check of the map shows is broadly equivalent to the UK claim to sovereignty over the isle of white? US foreign policy seems to follow the Scouse always offended never ashamed mantra.
