I went to a Simple Minds concert at Maine Road . Would this qualify for any points ??

Ditto but I can throw in Bowie, The Stones and Pink Floyd. Must be worth at least double points surely!

people on here moaning about the loyalty system again... i know for a FACT Bryan Adams and Dire Straits at MR both went to open sale. And I know plenty of Citycard holders on low points who got tickets for Jean Michel Jarre. If you want to get into the big gigs, you've got to put the time in at the smaller ones.

I didn't manage to get a ticket through Ticketmaster, they sold out. Luckily,I joined the OSC and they sorted me out with 4.

I will raise you Queen, Bryan Adams and Jean Michel Jarre......Queen tickets were like gold dust!

I'll raise you all of them - and add Guns 'N' Roses and Prince :p (I used to be a member of St. John Ambulance - so went to all the MR gigs - and had an access all areas pass - ner ner ner).

Anyone could get tickets for GnR and Prince, oh and Oasis, bet you can't beat me on David Cassidy!!!

I've just found out that if you have ever seen Simplred, bought a song or even listened to them on the radio, you lose all your points and and are banned from City for life.

I couldn't get tickets for Oasis as they all went to OSC and those who got most loyalty points by selling on their away tickets so I had to jib in by doubling up!

If I'd had been born then.... :p

I must admit though, being in SJAB during that time was a real 'perk' - especially when you had free reign of the ground (did a few of my own stadium tours during this time).

One thing I distinctly remember was playing 'football' with a couple of young kids back stage. Turned out to be the kids of The Pasedena's (remember them?). Oh - and being able to see back of the stage during JMJ's shows (spotting one of his minions playing the real keyboard - while he played his 'lights' one). Oh - and Rosie Gaines throwing a strop etc. etc.
