Takeaways who only take cash

The one in Brooklands used to be cash only but now accepts cards

Berlin is very cash heavy. We tend to go at least once a year and it’s a pain in the arse

We went to Ocean Treasure on Greengate on Saturday night. The bill for 4 of us was £160. So I said to my youngest shall we give them £180 - £20 tip which I thought was reasonable. He said no. They don't expect a tip as it's all cash and off the books which I still haven't got my head around.

For context he lives with 2 Chinese lads, the parents of both own restaurants in Chinatown.

Every day I get customers paying cash and telling me they don't want me paying tax, like they're doing me a favour.
 
However did we cope, before waving a piece of plastic over a card reader.? Oh. We paid cash

We must've had centuries of tax dodgers, then, before this habit became the norm

So the Chinese are tax dodging, compulsive gamblers.
Imagine saying this about a Muslim run curry house, or a West Indian jerk chicken take away, and the more left leaning posters would be screaming Nazi and far right scum.

Totally agree. The only thing I've ever had from the Chinese is meat pie and chips. Never again. Wife loves it. Never been allowed inside our house with it
 
As an ex taxi driver I knew that the £9 fare was actually £8-70 when paid by card, there was never any tip, or generally £10 with the usual round up by the customer when paying cash.
The amount of money being siphoned off by the banks out of the economy with card transactions must be mind boggling yet so many think it's the right thing to do. You've been brainwashed. Lose cash at your peril because it won't end well.
 
Ours takes cards for anything over £15.

According to economist Richard Murphy, HMRC is missing out on £36bn of taxes in some form or other. Hence the increase in the use of AI to track spending, even down to what car you drive and what flights you may be booking. If it doesn't match the declared income expect some contact frorm HMRC.
