I got a flag for wembley that is 10ft long, I read on the website that they will confiscate anything over 250cm (8ft).

Has anyone ever had any hastle taking a flag in before? Do you reckon I could blag it? Or will it get confiscated?

they will take it off you and give it you back when you leave.

needs a fire cert too,you can try and sneak it in,the worst that will happen is what i mentioned above.

They have marks on the wall to measure if it looks big.
Try and wrap a bit around your hand as you hold it against the wall.
They tried to take ours off us,but stood my ground until a senior steward came over coz there was a bit of a hold up.He let us through and said dont put it anywhere to block anyones view.
Sorted

Thanks, I'm hoping to try and sneak it in.... may be difficult, but if I put it at the bottom of my bag hopefully they won't notice it or think its something else.

Ours is a 8x4 left in bag at turnstile but got load of ear ache off the steward saying it overhung to much only had half on show till kickoff then lowered it down when he fucked off i wouldnt mind but it didnt block anyone below us ( in 3rd tier ) so keep it hidden till you get to your seat.

How thoroughly did they look through your bag though? Im hoping it will go unnoticed, but they would have to be proper shit at their job not to notice it!

I'll probably just leave mine in the bottom of my rucksack & plead innocence as it doesn't say anything on the tickets or stuff we were sent out. Hopefully it should be ok
