Whats rubbish..absolte rubbish?? Dunne has been very good for us over the years, but this season he has lost the plot. If not dropped, he should at least lose the captaincy. For a captain, to have scored 2 own goals and been sent off twice already...one for something that was horribly petulant is not good what so ever. Certainly not the way to 'lead' your players. He now is joint top of the most sendings off in the prem. He also was at fault for the goal against spurs..and did the most patehtic header against everton putting the ball out for a corner when he had all the time in the world to head it to hart. This corner led to the goal. He has been good in the past, but needs a break for sure.

And that's enough to write him off as useless? People have very short memories.

And Ben Haim should be written off should he, when we haven't seen him properly?

Maybe not, but surely you would agree that he needs to make a drastic improvement.

I don't agree or disagree. I reserve judgement until I've seen him have a run in the team.

He had a cracking debut against AC Milan. I thought we'd got a real bargain.

I still find it mad that we spent 6 million pounds (at a time when we had no money!) on him. An absolutely mental decision to blow what seemed to be a fair amount of our transfer budget on a centre half when we already had more than adequate players in that position. Does anyone else think that bringing in him had an unsettling effect on the Dunne-Richards partnership? Or do you think it's just a coincidence that their form has taken a dip this season?

I don't think you read what I said whatsoever did you? I said twice he has been great for us in the past..so no, i do not have a short memory. But when he is making mistakes as often as this, and stupid sendings off, which really change games; look at the liverpool ant spurs games for proof, how can you keep him in the team. The only argument you have is 'oh he was good last season.' True, but he isn't performing this season. Players do get past it you know....you can't keep a player in a team just because he has done well in the past.
