Loved this band - I liked most of the early 80s new romantic stuff and The Party's Over stands alongside anything produced around that time IMHO.

Brilliant upload; that version of Its My Life is a thing of beauty.
Such a loss to music.

We reviewed The Colour of Spring on the Album Review Thread a couple of weeks ago.

Only really became aware of his real talent posthumously sadly.

But what a real, genuine, beautiful talent this guy had.

Chronologically playing his work with Talk Talk is something I'll be doing over Xmas (usually on long runs).

The breadth of musicians who mourned his passing and the affection in which he and his music was held by them was a fitting epitaph to his talent. I think he was pretty much self-taught too, like a fair few fantastic musicians.
