The only explanation I can think of as to why we seem to receive a lot new yellows than our opponents is because of the pace we play at.

Because we play such a slow possession based games, most of the fouls on us just appear soft. By contrast, with the opposition playing to counter and coming at us with pace, most of out fouls appear cynical.

I do feel sorry for Yaya though. You look at the game yesterday and he got penalised for being a big unit. He has a brief tangle with a smaller player and gets booked and then gets fouled and people think he dived. All I will say is that if that was Hazard or Willian going down from a challenge that was identical to the Ivanovic foul on Yaya then it would have been a stonewall penalty.

And we're off...
The utd propaganda machine kicks into life...
Luckily for them Liverpool are doing shite also so they're taking a bit of the heat off them.
Still it's funny as fuck how they're papering over the huge cracks still appearing at delusional fc.

Well fuck me sideways, somebody please explain to me how utd getting battered 5-3 by Leicester has suddenly developed into a gerrard/Liverpool ldebate...
Unbelievable.

By the same token although we didn't play well we lost 1-0 in Munich and were a disgrace.

We had all this rubbish and head in the sand stuff last year with Moyes. Eventually they'll turn on Mutant but he'll get masses of time with no media pressure first.

Brazil already had his Barkley digs in....... 'preparing a massive bid' 'will we be ruining another young English player'?

To compare and contrast.....

Munich 1 (90th min) City 0 ..... City were embarrassing according to Durham

West Ham 3 Bindippers 1
Leicester 5 Rags 3 ...... Bindippers have big problems..

Take at with a pinch of salt lads...they are either thick as fk (Gough/Brazil), or wums...(Durham)

Durham on fire. City tried to kick Chelsea off the park

His wummery is just astonishing
He's good at it.
The real point is that it is not possible to be a 'dirty' team any more and kick teams off the park as in the good old days. You just end up with getting players sent off or in the case off Zab you get players sent off for two minor infringements.
What we have to learn is to 'foul' less obviously (particularly in Europe) and not give the referee a decision to make. Vinny is a culprit in this respect with his bodychecking.
Other teams have wised up to this and are a lot more subtle in their fouling.
We have to learn to do the same quickly.

Heard a bit of Colin Murrays show this morning and they too were having the "City ruining another English player" debate, backed by Pearce saying Barkley should stay put.

Then smarmy Des Kelly chimes in - "well Everton got £24m for Joleon Lescott so they will be eager to take more money off City" - ok then, since that transfer Joleon Lescott has ..

- 1x FA Cup Winners medal
- 1x Capital One Cup winners medal
2x Prem lge winners medals
1x Community Shield winners medal

He has umpteen England caps including playing in every England game at euro 2012 and scoring as well.

He has played in the Champions Lge including playing at the Nou Camp vs Barca, and featured in a City side that went to Munich and beat the reigning Champs Lge winners 3-2.

In that period of 5 years Everton has won ..... (drum roll) .... f**k all.

Id say City and Joleon got the better of that deal.

Switched off his station a while ago as it is just shite radio. On the subject of ruining young English players I think in the majority of cases they have managed to do it themselves without any help from us. FFS Sinclair couldn't even get into a struggling WBA side last year!

Rodney speaking highly of us and says Barkley should jump at the chance, fucked their little angle up a bit lol.

Makes me laugh how they've slightly changed their tune on Rodwell, at least now they're adding in that injuries didn't help, it was a major fuckin part you arses !

Haha@ the bitter Evertonian who was on. Still in denial that we are one of the big boys.

They've never even got out of the qualifying stage, Pellers saw to that. Anyway they haven't won a trophy in 19 years and only 1 in 27 (i know we went awhile but we're not the ones slagging off other teams on national radio)

CL is a night in front of the telly for some!
Even Durham saying that to get out the groups you need the best players and buying Barklay would be the ideal strategy- startling bit of common sense from a twat like him.
