Just caught some of beach ball head's show on the way to work and today's guest 'expert' is Andy Gray. They were discussing who will be in the relegation fight and Gray was convinced Fulham & Norwich would be involved!! Fuck me what a joke this station is, at least it used to funny when RIIAC was on.

That's beyond poor tbh, but it shows you how pathetic the station is.

(Unless he was talking about The Championship).

Nope, definitely talking about the Premier League, listen from 11 minutes onwards on the 'listen again' link below
<a class="postlink" href="http://talksport.com/radio/listen-again/1406696400#" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://talksport.com/radio/listen-again/1406696400#</a>

Andy Gray football genius!! If anybody ever thought he knew what he was talking about this proves the opposite.

Sorry the link doesnt work properly, its the 6.30 to 7.00 section from 11.00 minutes on.

Be great if someone was to launch a rival to this piece of shit, or is aware of some alternative?

A place where sport can be debated, not reactive argumentative shit, where real analysis is there amongst experts.
A station where you can actually learn something, and have discussion about the issues that really matter in sport such as public funding, cheating in the game, racism and so on...

Not who's gonna score for 'Nited next week and how great Brenda Rodgers is.

Only when the topic isn't football.

5Live isn't a sports (football)-only staion. Throughout the day - well weekdays - it is a current-affairs station and only reverts to sport in the evenings from 7:00-10:00pm and at weekends after 12:00.

It is infinitely better than talkshite!

I have only listened to 5L a few times and that is when I've finished work at 7pm

As for TS - its very poor when they attempt to debate anything, there are very rarely good points made just 2 people with opposite 'views' designed to generate call. All very see through

Not on all day and unless you're in Ireland, you'll probably need the inter web to pick it up but this comes pretty close to what you've described:

Brazil is obviously constantly pickled. Had a go at Dominic Cork this morning about him losing money on the cricket as he had bet on a draw. I heard Cork on tuesday tell him to back England!!!!!!! Too pickled to remember.

Liverpool strike Premier League warning as they beat Man City in New York !

I didn't actually see the game but by all accounts didn't our mainly second string play them off the park for most of the game? I know it was a friendly and judging by our half arsed penalties i don't think we were that bothered to win it at that stage.

Liverpool will be there or there abouts,as will the usual suspects, but if we keep our key men fit and get that central defender they will still be chasing us.

We played them off the park save for the last 10-15 minutes or so. All this without Fernandinho, Silva, Kun, Zabba, Vinny, Demichelis, with a 17 year old striker (playing alone up top after Jojo was taken off), a clearly rusty Yaya (brought on for 20 mins or so) and Richards, our 3rd string RB. Also, while Fernando was on we were shutting the dippers down in midfield constantly. Their only bright spots were Sterling and Henderson. Let's just say I'm sure we'll be ready for them and their candles in our first home game of the season.

Perfect description of the game(I was there).

Need to mention we need to hide the cakes from YaYa, he's obviously 'relaxed' since the World Cup !
