Perry Groves, in his whiny sub-London voice, has just said, and I quote (to the best of my recollection):
"I still don't get it with Tom Cleverley. I just don't get it. Fifty-odd games for United and two goals, three assists. I still don't know what he does. What does he do?"
Maybe someone in media land will take the logical next step and question why the fuck he's anywhere near the England team. Maybe someone will even ask Hodgson for an explanation. Zinedine was called up to the England squad solely on the strength of making a 20 minute sub appearance for the rags in the 2011 Community Shield and, apart from injury, has been getting called up ever since.
Cleverly is far from great, but we don't exactly have many options. Rodwell is always injured and Barkley was very young. Who exactly should we call up instead of him in the central midfield role?laserblue said:Bilston Blue said:Wow. The agenda's over. Official. Stop Press.

Agree with this completely.
I remember they had Mike Rutherford (a thinking man's Jeremy Clarkson) doing a motoring show on Friday mornings. Also, the late Mike Dicken doing the 10-1 show on weekday mornings (my health is not in question).
The station went seriously downhill when they employed Jon Gaunt in that slot. His ego and provocative style caused the station much trouble and his dismissal seemed to coincide with their decision to go sports oriented throughout the day. It's painful listening these days. I don't mind Colin Murray's show if you take it for what it is, which is light-hearted in nature, and Brian Moore is the most eloquent and intelligent person on the channel. I've always liked Hawksbee and Jacobs, but I think you either get them or don't. Apart from that I'm not really bothered with the rest. I can't stand the live commentaries they do which is mainly due to Collymore's gobby style.
