Tickled me......

Manchester City were celebrating last night after they eased to a 1-0 defeat against Borussia Dortmund to avoid Europa League qualification.
City nerves were kept jangling until Julian Schieber popped up with the vital goal after 57 minutes to ensure Roberto Mancini's men wouldn't have to play on Thursday nights for a second successive season.
"I never gave up hope of avoiding the Europa League," said a delighted Roberto Mancini. "I was sure we could do it and now we can concentrate on the Premier League safe in the knowledge that we won't have to play Genk at 6pm on ITV4, just after a repeat of Minder has finished."
Meanwhile, UEFA President Michel Platini has floated plans to revive the Europa League by allowing losers from the Johnstone's Paint Trophy Northern quarter-finals to enter at the seventh group stage.
Thats brilliant.Lol

Yeah, it is.

when mancini doesn't win a game in the group he leaves himself open to criticism. the neutral will be questioning mancini as he's broken a record for being shite in Europe
I completely agree. I don't want Mancini to be sacked or to leave the club but with such a dismal display in Europe there have to be questions asked.

What questions would they be?

Mate, you have to be on a wind up. Have you not read any/ many of the threads on here about Mancini in the last few weeks? Never mind since last night

Are you referring to the same three usual suspects posting on here under multiple usernames?

When I said questions need to be asked I mean surely the owners can't be happy with performances in the champions league. I am not saying we had to qualify but to get the points return we did was poor and to deny that is just burying your head in the sand. I am sure there will not be any knee jerk reaction from the owners and I am fully in support of Mancini as our manager but that does not mean he is right all the time.

They're pretty much word for word the same threads as last April, which were pretty much word for word the same threads as the April before.

Just thought I would tune in to see what they are saying this morning after the Chelski and Rags game, guess what, it is the Man U let’s try to talk positive before the derby show. So predicable you have to laugh.

"fans have low expectations and were only singing mancini's name to help him not get the sack"

That is a bit of a trueism for a fair few fans on this forum

-- Thu Dec 06, 2012 9:52 am --

Not going to be a popular opinion that ...

I thought we'd established that last April Mancini was looking for a new job because he feared the sack. In which case, the threads may well be repetitive, but they aren't wrong or misplaced.

-- Thu Dec 06, 2012 11:58 am --

Climbing the sour faced old cow charts faster than a new Coldplay single at present Pam.

Wind your neck in.
