If he wanted to get first team football, he would have signed for a club like West Ham, and then proved he has the ability to go with the potential,

as it is he's just moved like for like,

It's obvious to anyone with a brain that he's just left for the money!

We don't need mercinaries at our club, no matter what the potential, if we get £5M it's good business, in the same way we were lucky to get rid of Barton and get paid for it.

With an attitude like Sturridge he'll never reach his potential anyway, good riddance!!!

If you don't want mercenaries at our club you must be against the signings of Tevez & Eto'o (possibly Robbie when he signed). Let's not kid ourselves here, eh? If we could not afford to pay wages of £100K+ per week none of these would come to City.

no a lad we relesed (ian benett) who was in the same youth team as him whene asked him a couple of years what he was like sed he was a bit of a toss and a lot of the lads dint like him

Whilst i agree i also think Tevez and Robbie have more of a case to ask for big money as they have done it on the world stage. I doubt they were getting what sturridge is gettin when they were 19.

Do you know what a 'professional' footballer does for a living? That's right, they play football. For whatever team will pay them the most money.
You know that badge-kissing thing they do? They don't really mean it.
Also there is no tooth fairy.

(Sorry folks but he had to find out eventually)

Don't get me wrong I agree with you on the Sturridge part but to slag him off for moving only for money is a bit hypocritical of City fans.

Its human nature to want more, you just like to think that players love your club the way you do therefore you end up bitter as fuck when they want to leave. Me personally think he was ill advised in this instance.
