Talksport

There was a guy on breakfast show today, from the Guardian, can't recall his name, anyhow he said he thinks there is a separate agenda by the FA when it comes to bookings.
Kompany = Belgian = Johnny Foreigner! BOOK HIM!

Johnson = English = England Player = Can't be seen to upset Fabio (who, by coincidence = Johnny Foreigner) or the FA

He thinks it's a conflict of interest, The FA running the National team and administering the game.
Would be very interesting if a 'sports' journalist followed this up!

Jack Rodwell= Young promising English talent= Red Card rescinded. His challenge was no better than Kompany's or the Wolves player's one.

The press have a lot of influence in these things, if there was a clamour to get VK off I'm sure he would have got off.

It's just human nature to do the thing that will cause you less grief, refs are no different.

Press are always going to back an Englishman against a nasty foreigner.
