I think there is a good argument to say city were as big a club as united before the wars, ok its a long time ago but thats History isnt it?
United understandably got a lot of new followers with the terrible tragedy of Munich, & then as we went to shit & they got better during the 1980s-90s so the gap got bigger,
As for Liverpool, I think most people know all the stats about how we won the FA cup 60 odd years before them, also we won a european trophy before them, ok they came good during the late 60s so does that mean we start "History" in the late 60s?
Every club has a proud History & anyone who starts spouting shit about clubs having no "History" is without doubt a complete Dickhead.

People confuse history with success, 2 totally different things. Every club that ever existed has history of some sort or another

Before the War! Before a certain tragedy you mean (alluded to I know)

As for the Dippers, Everton had more history than them until Shankly and the investment.

Truth be told there was nothing separating all 4 Clubs until those 2 specific periods for the Red shited teams.

The pair of them are fucking obsessed with how big they are! Who gives a fuck!

Not sure when History started , but I know it finished in 2009.
