Listened to a bit of H & J today while in the car waiting for Mrs Moon. What a pair of moaning crying soft arses they are.
I've been meaning to do this for a while, and I don't think I will have many allies. But I actually think Darren Gough is OK.
Don't forget he is on TalkSport, not TalkFootball. He brings some very interesting insight into his former profession, and he is also knowledgeable in sports like F1, boxing and rugby.
He wasn't a professional footballer, so his views on football cannot be taken to be authoritative, but opinionated. But that is just the same as you (mostly) and me. This doesn't mean his views aren't valid, even though we might disagree with them. I would argue there are others on that station that are much less knowledgeable than Gough.
I'm not saying I am his biggest fan. He often plays the part of Durham's stooge, but that is more because that is the modus operandum of his employer. Plus he also appears to have difficulty in identifying his football allegiances. But overall, his contribution is not as bad as some on here make out.
