Some clubs and some managers can never be a logical fit. The most obvious mismatch in my lifetime was the appointment of Brian Clough as Leeds United manager. A high profile club with it's own developed culture appointing the highest profile winner of that time, and an appointment which was to last all of 44 days. Mourinho will last longer than that but he outcome will likely be the same.
