Good morning.

Having listened to John Dillon on your morning show, I’d have to say it was disgusting and tasteless.

I understand the narrative is to illicit calls, tweets etc. But his stuff on Manchester City was frankly abysmal leading to disgusting.

I get that City and FFP are a talking point, but to have a such an obviously ill informed, frankly slanderous and one sided rant on is for me a highly dubious practice.
But, as he kept saying allegedly he’s covered his back.

It might have been helpful or even beneficial to the discussion if someone pointed out that we’ve actually been charged and punished for the allegations in Der Spiegel.

But I digress, my main concern was the unopposed and frankly disgusting attack on David Silva.

The accusations that David Silva or City would use the near death premature birth of Mateo as a means of trying to influence the media or distract attention from the abysmally written hatchet job in Der Spiegel is frankly disgusting.

Having had very close friends who have spent weeks in ICU wondering if their child will survive, it’s an issue I feel strongly about. For John Dillon to use such a thing to carry on some weird personal crusade against Manchester City was out of order and I’m frankly appalled that Talk Sport would give air time to such a troll as John Dillon.

I know City fans have brought this to the attention of the club.

I’m assuming an apology & subsequent removal of John Dillion from future broadcasts will be a minimum.

The comments will have given Talkshite what they want. The Dippers had it right, they boycotted the Sun. Blues should boycott this station until an apology is made. Not to us fans, and not to the club, but to David Silva. The bloke oozes class, and didn't deserve this attack.

In fairness, I think a blanket ban on all media apart from in house. When the club are asked why the media ban, simply say John Dillon & Talksport.

Talkshite are no different to our rancid press. The press writes absolute shite to sell papers, get clicks instead of doing what they're supposed to be doing. Talkshite do the same to get idio£s phoning in. Instead of doing some public service, they are using the public for money and they don't give two fucks how they do it. They think they're untouchable. Well if they're reading this, you are not, believe me.

Not listened to it for years it’s a shit stain of a station but is an example of the fall in standards of broadcast and printed media in this country. The wall to wall coverage of the premier league and the rise of social media and the decline in printed media has created a demand for quantity over quality. This is why we have pages and pages of websites which give poor reporters a platform to spout their agenda driven drivel rather than matter of fact. 95 percent of these journalists who think they are celebs because they have a social media following would be no where near the industry 20 years ago.

City should start by not giving Talksport any more advertising revenue.
 
Didn’t hear it but these comments by this excuse for a journalist are unbelievably crass. Disgusting thing to say and disgusting by talksport to allow him to say it without any rebuttal or apology

This should be the straw that breaks the camel as far as the club is concerned. Enough is enough... time for action
 
While all this sentiment is understandable, there will be no bans, there will be no boycotts. I've no idea what might be going on behind the scenes, but if anything is going on I expect it'll be very low key.

But publicly the club will do absolutely nothing.
