You are so right that he would have had to be charged by the GMP if he intentionally decided to karate kick Ederson in the head. Haven't heard any of the know-all experts putting that forward.

And as others have pointed out, why didn't Mane try to head it? Because he had seen our keeper coming and knew Ederson would get to the ball first so Mane attempted a desperate lunge to try and beat him to it.
