It's not hard to work out where this fake news has come from. Just another dirty trick from the Rags' relentless PR machine and people like Jim White lap it up with no attempt at balance or journalistic integrity. We suffered this sort of backstabbing campaign all through 2011/12 and look how that finished up!

After the weekend games the rags' 4-0 win barely registered given how well we played on Saturday. Then yesterday we get a rag player I don't recall actually playing for them telling us in the media that we need to win the league given all the money we've spent this summer (less than his own club) and the next day we get a fairy tale about a player preferring to go to them rather than us (despite him having turned down B Munich and PSG in the summer in order to come here). Now whether or not it is the rag PR machine in action I don't know, but Rupert Murdoch's bile-spewing media empire (Sun, Sky, Talkscrote) makes a fortune out of this by printing the lie in the paper then running with it as 'news' on the TV and Radio. It's as frightening as it is hilarious given the feeble-minded masses that lap up this bullshit.
