When asked his opinion of the controversial caution given to Gray for removing his shirt,he suggested it should be immediately rescinded.The professional pundit,when it was pointed out to him,was genuinely surprised to hear a yellow card cannot be overturned.

I thought you couldn't appeal against them (apart from mistaken identity).
I don't see a reason the FA can't rescind it - I'd like to think they would ask all the other PL clubs for agreement first, but strikers rarely hit suspension levels of bookings.

They would have to make it a new law completely,otherwise you are opening a can of worms as to what constitutes special circumstance.

It's a silly law as it stands,thats a definite.The referee,and one of our better ones......was in a lose lose situation because of it.

I don't know one way or the other about what they can do. The ref's report presumably will have notes on it.

I agree that Probert was stuck.

I think I turned it on to the car radio twice over the weekend, on both occasions it was well short of 10mins before I had to turn it off again to prevent me from being overwhelmed by road rage.

Piss myself if the place caught fire and burned down.

As far as the yellow card for the chairman’s tribute, The ref should have made a call and let it go, no way he would have been reprimanded over it in the circumstances, he could have had a quiet word in the captains ear and said, I will let that go but no more if you score again... wrong thread but just answering the Saunders thing about the card being rescinded... Saunders is thick as mince though ..
