The last time I was at their shit-hole it seemed to mean a great deal to them. The League Cup never means anything to the rags..... unless they win it and then it is the best thing since sliced bread....
Yep, Ferguson maintained throughout the comp he would play youngsters until that night, its up there with "not in my lifetime".Didn't they also field a full strength side (for the 1st time ever) when they played us in the semi

Did anyone hear the rag who called in and said he hadn't made it to the game so watched it on Sky Sports? even tried to guess a channel.
Goldstein and Cundy interrogating him saying it wasn't on TV he then said he watched it on his phone and when they finally got him to admit he hadn't watched it at all he tried to say he didn't need to coz he knew the team they put out would get beat by Middlesborough and they screamed at him that the match was still going on! To be fair To Goldstein he didn't let him even have his opinion, just told him he was embarrassing himself on national radio lol
Thought it was Ronnie irani for a minute with his fabrications lolOne of the best things I've heard on radio. Priceless.
Only a rag could be so plastic and stupid.

Hawksby and Jacobs were due to talk about our youth policy this afternoon, I wasn't able to listen. Do we know whether it was favourable or not?
I caught some of it. They had Jamie Jackson of the Guardian on and they were commenting about Devante Cole's rant of a couple of days ago saying City don't give a fuck about English youth. They were all very fair pointing out that City have a good youth set up - last nights team and scorers showed a commitment to youth and Jackson said he speaks to people at City who are passionate about bring youth of any nationality thru.
On the specific allegation from Cole they couldn't see why any club would cast off real talent on the basis of nationality and hinted it was sour grapes saying obviously the truth in the claim will be vindicated by Cole's next move. If he stays in the lower div's he ain't good enough - if its to the dippers to replace Studge the clearly we are biased. I am guessing the piece put Wallsall and Lincoln City on alert that Devante's talent is up for grabs..............
