Talksport

Did that c**t, the Manchester football correspondent, (i wont name him) really say this (about 6.30 this morning)

"If United win the FA Cup this weekend, in some ways they will have had a better season that City, they will have won a premium cup, and only finished one place behind"

Just to top up, about 10 mins ago whilst ejaculating over Liverpool, informed us that Liverpool " were the only English team to knock out a Spanish team in Europe this season".

Of course i may be mistaken, but aren't the team they are playing, only in the competition, because WE knocked them out of the Champions League, beating them home and away in the process.

I am fully aware that they have their agenda, but they are not even subtle anymore. I am a bit embarrassed to admit, that i used to enjoy listening to the station, but it really is getting ridiculous now, with their constant anti-City bias.
Well, technically, they are correct, as Seville haven't been knocked out of Europe. They finished third in a four team league and were rewarded by joining another competition. Let's just hope they're in the CL next season.

never get in the way a good story even if its so wrong and if its sounds good to the daft cunts that are listening then JOB done. talksport are all clowns and all are reading from a script to get the best reaction and get people phoning in. its know your market and then give them what they want. the drive time with durham and gough the good cop / bad cop is so funny to listen to and after 5 min they are so fucked up they don't remember who's who its like a carry film for the radio

He would indeed have meant Villareal. The poster I was replying to was saying that we'd knocked Seville out of Europe and I was just saying that we hadn't (not strictly, anyway).
Actually if you read his post he didn't say that.
He said City knocked them out of the CL after beating them home and away, which is an undeniable fact

I did read his post and he was complaining that someone had said that Liverpool were the only English club to knock out a Spanish team in Europe this season. Fact is, they are.

Bit of a pointless statement to make. Only two sides had the oportunity to knock a Spanish team out of Europe.

Premium Cup lol what a plum.

Self-serving cobblers to support his preposterous claim. I assume this was Pep's mate?

It's all that's left to them is to make outrageous claims knowing that they'll seep into people's minds because the equally selfserving hosts won't challenge them

Twice, on their sports news yesterday, they reported on the Spanish squad announcement. Talked about the omissions and which British based players were a included, all of them except our very own David Silva, who wasn't mentioned.

I noticed that too.

I know people keep saying that it's their aim to goad listeners into ringing in but
why do Chelsea, Liverpool and united get such an easy ride? They've all underperformed more than us this season, yet they seem to be getting congratulated.
I think the real aim of the show is playground mentality bullying. Pick a common enemy and have a dig at them.

Murray throws a sickie on day of Europa League final. I bet he cites the boiled bollock defence....
