I was driving only went for some lunch, found the bull ring ok and there was a fight on.

The orange tree in Denton is superb. Also the dog & partridge on the stalybridge/mottram border is good too.

La Mancha in Rochdale is great if you're not too fussed about being out of Manchester. Order one of everything. cheap too.

Can't see it being the bull, don't like bullfighting never watched it but there was a great vibe in the square, need to use the higher cars petrol up so had a long trip for lunch.

El Rincon is definately the place to go but if you can't get a table there, try Evuna on Deansgate for Spanish tapas or as someone has already said, Dimitris for Greek tapas.
All good.
Avoid La Tasca or La Vina - chain rubbish.

mad what these places charge, £4-5 for a bit of meat, fish or veg that costs 50p a time. x 4-5 thats about £25 a head for £3 worth of grub, minus the drinks, and your still starving when you leave.

I know what you mean, I go to Nerja for my hols and when you order small beer or wine you get a free tapa. Small beer E1.5

Evuna is on a par with El Rincon but with a nicer setting if you are taking your missus. There's a little gaff on beech road in chorlton I've heard great things about but never been in. It has about 6 tables.
