Team for Hull Game

Re: Official Match Thread; City v Hull

We`ll be lucky to be in the top half by the end of the year. Clueless!

Re: Official Match Thread; City v Hull

keep the faith he will be gone after the next two games when we are out of the cup and in eighth place

Re: Official Match Thread; City v Hull

Very disappointing result , to say the least.

The second half performance was not what is expected of a Premiership side , and their goalkeeper was barely tested .......... once he took Robinho and Adebayor off we offered even less than we had done previously!

Fortunate goal for Shauny too ...... it will no doubt be given as an own goal at some later date.

The penalty awarded to them was predictable , you could see it coming ..... did Lescott handle ...... Did Toure lunge into their player ...... one of them was bound to be pulled up ...... a pity he didn't see the tug of SWP's shirt at the other end as clearly!

We're just not good enough.

Re: Official Match Thread; City v Hull

Didn't play well but we controlled the game and would have got 3 points if it wasn't for what was a joke of a penalty decision. Some of your cries of how shit Hughes is may very well be justified (6 draws in a row before today for instance) but you can't blame him for shit refs, which is what we got today.
It has to be said that some people on here (you know who you are) act as tho you've only just started watching City since the money came in. There's alot of talk about players earning shedloads of money wrecking the modern game but the new modern fan ain't exactly doin the game any good either. It makes me fookin cringe, our fanbase is being swamped by a rag mentality.

Re: Official Match Thread; City v Hull

Absolutely F*****G sick of this lot; am I glad I didn't waste the best part of £150 and a day off my lfe to watch that shite!!! The perfect opportunity to bring Weiss on and he gives us Crocky - who is quite frankly shit!

How long are we going to have Hughes promising us improvement and delivering jack! Overpaid uniterested prima donna's!! So to show for all of this investment we have 7 points out of a possible 21, great!!! You are supposed to see the positives and the only one I can see is the fact that we didn't lose - that's it.

God I am pissed off with this - just do me a favour Hughes and fuck right off!

Mr Kaldoon Al Mubarak - please save us from this muppet and get Hiddink in here now; or at least someone with a clue of how to get a team playing to win!!

Spleen vented!!!

Re: Official Match Thread; City v Hull

i think you have to admit that 7 draws in a row just isn't good enough (and it's even worse if you actually analyse those 7 draws)

Robbed by fracking referee, fictitious handball and not even the last corner allowed.

I disagreed with taking out Robbie and Ade, while the score was still 1-0.

no point in passing it off to the ref we should have put the match to bed, simply we are just not good enough end of, i beleive the players we have will turn it around but NOT under hughes,Hughes is a lower club manager who gets the best out of a budget team by playing long ball football, hand this same team to any top manager and they will play as good as any top 4 side, the only positive from this game was or is its one less game that this crackpot to be in charge of ''goodbye hughes and take your sidekicks with you''

Re: Official Match Thread; City v Hull

I have been a hughes inner, and i understand all the players needing time to gel etc etc, and i was fully expecting us to lose some dubious games, but were seeing a team that is lacking any leadership and even more importantly a team that seems void of any instructions or guidance, that stops at hughes door, his valid excuses a couple of months ago are no longer valid, im afraid his time has come, We have some great players that look lost, with the gunners and chelsea coming up some might say get another manager in now just so the players know they have a point to prove all over agian and against the big boys as well. Were at a crucial stage now, and the question is stick or twist . . . . . . . .im afraid its twist for me.

Re: Official Match Thread; City v Hull

Come Monday morning and the situation will have calmed down.

By that I mean that the "Hughes should stay" crowd - some of whom will have described our performance today as shite - will doubtlessly support Mark Hughes. For no good reason.

He is now going to take us next week to eight successive matches without a Prem league win assuming we capitulate against a Chelsea side that by the end of this weekends results will be 15 points ahead of us.. This, if it happens, and the chances of it not happening are ZERO, means that it will be the worst run without a win since the EPL formed in 1992.

Let's face it, there is absolutely no good reason whatsoever why Hughes, and just as importantly his fifth rate assistants, should stay beyond the Arsenal and Chelsea matches.

Hughes hopefully will be gone long before Christmas. It will be the best Christmas present for a long time.

I agree with the fan bit. We aren't playing good enough at the moment though.

i have supported them for 30 years and base my opinons on hughes over the last 18 months, a manager should be judged on results over a period of time, whether the ref was rubbish today or not is irrelevant, why prolong this if a manager isnt good enough he has to go before the season slips away from us

Re: Official Match Thread; City v Hull

Got to agree Lomas. I've been a Hughes in man because I've seen what 34 yrs of managerial merry go rounds has produced but if he can't get a group of players he bought to begin playing together on a consistent basis then you have to question if he's up to the job.

The day you use the ref as an excuse is the day you are covering up for a poor display...simple as that.

What saved us to day was a clearence of the line and a wild shot straight at a defender which deflects in. I know what you mean by some of the commenst you get today but their just comments nothing more...and eveyone is entitled to them...you included!!

what matters is what is displayed on the pitch....and at home to Hull...mm, not a lot

Re: Official Match Thread; City v Hull

who would take the job?
hiddink?

dont think anyone else would jump there ship to sail in ours?

Re: Official Match Thread; City v Hull

More alarming than anything is the lack of quality crosses into the oppositions box ..... i'm really struggling to think of any today.

No real width means that players such as RSC have no supply ....... and a decent supply is what had him scoring goals in his early Blackburn days.

Some of our football in the first half had a bit of 'panache' about it , but other than SWP's deflected goal , it had no real end product ...... and the second half City effort was poor to say the least.

I suspect that had Hull put in this type of battling performance at Old Trafford or Stamford Bridge they'd have been 'worn down' and finally overcome ....... but it never really looked like happening here today.
