NO right back, never mind a 2nd choice
1 left back and NO 2nd choice
1 striker and not 2nd choice
NO replacement for Rodri
But it's OK we have 7 centre backs and 4 keepers
But could we not use players from the youth team..maybe not as a straight replacement.

EDS squad are under 23s and youth teams, so how do they learn their trade if Pep doesn't add or want them in the squad or what is the point of having a EDS setup

Hang on though...against Juventus in the cwc & against Wolves 1st game we looked really good....so I'd say we have had off days v spurs and Brighton...which I don't understand because if you practice something 320 days a year then you should end up pretty good and not have off days which then suggests the players don't have their head on right on game day. So come on guys...get on it.
We haven’t been fit enough for nearly two seasons…..hence the capitulations after taking the lead.There is some truth in this but we also lack energy in the last 20 minutes. We keep getting over-run in midfield and shipping late goals. It is a pattern for two years now.
David Silva, peak Bernardo, Gundogan, Fernandinho and KDB…..you could smash the ball at them and still they would control it first time, same with the forwards.
We have been blessed with some wonderful players but they were all introduced into winning teams and not all at the same time (apart from David Silva)
We have bought some great talent….shame we have shipped Echeverri off to Germany.

Our squad is 2 under the maximum it can be ,so not wafer thin, we have 24 so about right. I agree but no doubt the technical level of the squad has diminished and players like Dias and Stones have lost their ability to position themselves better when defending.For me it's more the physical than the technical. We get pushed off the ball too easily, other sides are quicker and stronger.
We get bullied too often.
What I would give for a young Fernandinho.
Our defense both in structure and impact is a poor as I have seen in many a year.
We have no leaders and little spine and its already clear to me we haven't replaced players who at their best consistently imposed themselves on the game.
Definitely fallen well off the pace and recruited poorly after we let our squad grow too old with little left to give.
Cannot see many in the current squad being part of our next title so a lot of reshaping to do over the next few windows.
We are slow and pedestrian on the ball so Pep will have to make us harder to concede against or we will suffer many more games where we come up empty this season.
