Good news on Ted. From his daughter.

Best news ever. My dad doesn't need an op and will be coming home as soon as his 12(!!!!!) broken ribs and broken sternum are in slightly better shape!!! To say we are happy is an understatement!!!!!!

Christ though, 12 broken ribs. I broke 1 once and ive never been in as much pain.

The worst pain I got from a cracked rib was changing gear, even with the slightest of weight being put onto the clutch pedal.Fuck me it did hurt.

It weird isnt it, the simplest things hurt more than anything. With my ribs it was getting dressed, took me forever to just to get changed in the morning. Remember breaking my big toe as well, walking was hard, but actually putting my shoe on nearly made me cry.

I`ve just had a "senior moment" and can`t bastard remember the name of the worst type of pain I`ve encountered. Its normally associated with us old bastards, but I remember 20 years ago one of our mates came hobbling into our local like a 70 year old. When he told us what it was,we took the piss out of him for years.
It came back to bite me on the arse good and proper a few years later.
Its where the joints in the ankles and feet swell up and you cannot stand any pressure on those areas. You cannot wear socks and the biggest problem I had was trying to keep the duvet off my feet,as the pain was that intense.Bastard feet were freezing for days whilst the antibiotics kicked in.
Sure someone will know what the symptoms are and how bad the pain is for something that sounds so trivial. If only the grey matter could kick in !!

Well played missus !! Gout !! The pain is truly awful and thanks for helping me get back my senior moment. ;)

Went last night - very, very funny, but no quite what I expected in the sense that there is no story line as such. It's more like a series of stand up routines from the individual characters, punctuated by Peter Kay appearing regularly in the wheelchair. That's not intended to put anyone off, it was just a strange format I thought.

I enjoyed it, like welcoming an old family friend back, hope the rumours are true of a third series.

Did you not notice at the end when Potter was on the big screen in Africa it came up
Brian Potter 1947-2015 ?
That probably puts the rumours to bed I'd say
