Ted Robbins collapses

Get well soon Ted.

Was looking for tickets for this on Stubhub the other day, might go down tonight and see if I can get one outside, always loved Phoenix Nights.

So they had to do CPR on him, fair play to the doctor said he heard the tell tale noises I guess it was the agonal breathing, hope Ted makes a full and speedy recovery.

A few years ago I was at a dinner dance at the Etihad (nothing to do with football) and Ted was the guest speaker and sat at the same table as I was on and what a lovely, lovely man. He talked about his family and when it was time for him to do his speech/turn it was obvious he had researched the people who had hired him and without once looking at any notes or anything he did a full hours routine and had the audience in the palm of his hand. As I said a really lovely man, get well soon Ted.

got tickets for this on friday but don't give a shit about that now - i so so hope Ted is ok, think he's fantastic, does a lot for bleak holt animal sanctuary, and with him being Paul McCartney's cousin i always took an interest in him and Kate since he started out on telly, and he's funny, no one has a bad word against him.

:(

I went to his 40th birthday party at his house and there was a massive bunch of flowers from Paul and Linda, which I thought was nice.

I bet that was a great party! And good to hear tonight that Ted seems to be on the mend.

Paul was very close with Ted and Kate's mum Bess. There's a piccie of him that does the rounds on beatles sites of him with Bess and Ted as a baby, i'll have a look..

here is it, baby Ted - still eating ;) (only jesting, i love Ted)

Hope Ted is back at home soon :)

I went this evening. You couldn't really tell they had skipped anything out.

The idea behind it is that it's a talent trek event, and you get different acts on.

I thought it was okay. Not terrible but not a patch on the actual tv show. Too many songs and not enough jokes. Came away a bit disappointed, but I had very high expectations.

See I went last night too with very low expectations and thought it was a good show
Clinton Baptiste's show (nano nano yes Robin you ok ) and Ray Vaughans Dj set the highlights for me (Special mention to the first act the juggler who was piss funny)

Low points were Holy Mary's raffle there's only so many times you can use I'm opening me flaps as a gag

Jerry the saint was good too

Thought Kay was brilliant as Potter especially when the drummer of Led Alanos nearly trip over
'Come on Les we don't want another one collapsing' he slipped out he couldn't help but laugh

Was also sad at end when Kaye asked for us to think about Ted you could see he was an emotional wreck as most of the cast must have been

All in all a good night out

Went tonight too. Agreed, more jokes & less singing/music would've been my preference -a bit like the PK live shows tbh, but still enjoyed it a lot. Highpoints:plenty , lowpoints: far too many closeups of Britney Spears arse (Clue: it wasn't actually Britney)

I enjoyed it, like welcoming an old family friend back, hope the rumours are true of a third series.

Good news on Ted. From his daughter.

Best news ever. My dad doesn't need an op and will be coming home as soon as his 12(!!!!!) broken ribs and broken sternum are in slightly better shape!!! To say we are happy is an understatement!!!!!!

Christ though, 12 broken ribs. I broke 1 once and ive never been in as much pain.

The worst pain I got from a cracked rib was changing gear, even with the slightest of weight being put onto the clutch pedal.Fuck me it did hurt.
