for a laugh. Comparing Manchester City to the LA Galaxy, i.e. Kaka's move to Beckham's move!

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/leagues/premierleague/mancity/4272712/Kaka-and-Manchester-City---its-all-about-the-money.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/footba ... money.html</a>

What a pile of crass, jealous spew that it . the comparison of any prem team to that LA galaxy joke is purile in the extreme. I am getting quite into this city are evil bastards thing now. Cant we all chant "we are ruining football" or summat tomorrow ??

Hilarious rubbish!!

Interestingly begins to (unintentionally) expose one of the unspoken lines of arguement against City achieving success.
Classic snobbery and conservative lip-curling against the 'nouveau riche'

This a centuries old phenomenon and is usually expounded by those who forget that most of their own 'inherited' wealth was at some stage the outcome of a little nouveau riche luck / exploitation/ robbery.

Sometimes I despair at just how intellectualy impaired even the so called 'quality' press are.

what a bell end. and what's he on about being crowned champions for the fourth time?

How can you take an article seriously when the author can't even get simple facts correct?

If that's the level of research then how the fuck did he get a job writing on a national newspaper when he wouldn't even get a piece printed in a fanzine with that standard of work!

Oh, and did the Glazers grow up in the Florida swamps dreaming of Paddy Crerand and Alex Stepney? I very much doubt it!

Another cheap piece of shit from a bitter rag.

Blueveau richeâ„¢, please!

What a pile of shite. Under researched bollocks.

'You cannot buy tradition', we've got plenty of that.

About 100 years ago we were one of the richest clubs in the world and the Football League made an example of us due to 'illegal payments'. The fact that every other club did the same was an irrelevence, we lost the first great side the club produced, with a large amount of the players going to Ushited. They won the league several times with our players, Billy Meredith included.

For some clubs its ok to have money and influence, for others it appears its not and has always been the case.

I'm getting a little tired of the Arabs being reduced to stereotypes and objectified. Overall though, that's the bitterest thing I've read yet.

PLEASE KEEP YOUR ENVY IN CHECK!

We all know the top 4 are shiting there selfs, lets face it if they dont get a champions league spot they will sink. Last time when Everton finised forth they changed the rules so the bin dippers got back in.
Never underestimate the power of the top 4 the shit will hit the fan when one sinks.

We've had a rough 30 years, we all know that. When I first went City the following trophies were won

City, 4 fa cups, 2 league champions, 2 League Cups and 1 ECWC

Rags, 4 FA cups, 7 league champions, 0 League Cups and EC at Wembley after extra time.

Admittedly a few more League Championships than us but not drastically different.

The comment above about the Glaziers dreaming of Stepney and Crerand from their USA swamp is brilliant. These people who write in newspapers now are too young/thick to realise what true history is. I am forty two and I can remember British journalisms favourites not winning the league for TWENTY SIX years. Not good enough is it for the then richest English club really? At school work that was my only saving grace till 1993 "City were the last club with Manchester in their name to win the league" Then of course we went to our lowest depths but still averaged just short of 30,000 in the THIRD division. Chelsea, Everton, Newcastle United all had gates around 10-13,000 at certain games in the early 80's FACT. So all this we have no tradition- Robinho/Kaka don't want to play for City annoys me so much. If I were to get anywhere near this Darren Lewis, Neil Custis or any of the smug Rag wankers on Sky(not Mr Wedderburn) they would get a straightener, I am sick to death of hearing it. They will all want to play for City shortly. Very shortly I hope.
