Tempering the Guardiola Optimism

I think he'll be pretty ruthless. There won't be any sentimentality with him.
If he looks at the way we've been playing recently and doesn't just put it down to bad management /tactics but rather attitude, he'll move them on.
It wouldn't surprise me to see 2or 3 new defenders and a couple of midfielders.
I'd be surprised if it was an instant fix to be honest. I think the first half of the season will be transition. Mourinho willpprobably get a load of plaudits in the meantime but I won't give a fuck about that. It's a long term plan we're getting, not some eye gouging crack paperer.

My concern is that we appear to be way behind where we were last year and the year before and everyone is a year older.
Pep goes for a high energy high pressing game and I am not sure our squad can do that as MP has found out (he had always based his teams on this style and it's not happened at City).
Spurs and The Foxes are way ahead of us with this style of play and have the type of player to do it. ( I am not saying that the foxes have better players btw). What will break? Peps ideals or the the current crowd favourites? Will be interesting how quickly we adapt. Will be interesting

Seriously though i think with all the players away at tournaments in the summer we may not see a change in too many personal until january when he has had chance to see who can adjust to what he wants. It's a pain he won't get a proper pre-season with them especially the argies who are always the latest back.I am really excited though

I don't see mass changes, just isn't feasible with someone like us and the money our players are on/will desire from their new club.

I think Navas, Fernando, Yaya, Bony and Kolarov are certain to leave though.
