United 1 City 1 1991-92
After my favourite red card of all time, City silence the swamp. David White gives Steve Bruce a little pat on the head, and Keith Curle carries a pitch invader all the way to the halfway line.

Leeds 1 City 2 1983-84
Andy Ritchie nets a diving header opener, bur City respond with two late goals from Graham Baker and Derek Parlane. Probably the worst racist abuse I’ve ever witnessed, reserved for Alex Williams.

Bradford 2 City 4 1987-88
City haven’t won away for almost two years, and are still recovering from a last-kick-of-the-game, missed penalty against Shrewsbury the previous Saturday. Bradford are top of the table, so in true Typical City style, we play them off the park.

Notts County 3 City 2 1985-85
“If you don’t get off the pitch, the game will be abandoned”
City are 3-0 down at the time, so probably not the most sensible PA announcement.

QPR 1 City 2 FA Cup 1993
Our name was on the Cup that year. Drunken mayhem when City somehow survive an early onslaught before exploding into action, with 2 goals in a minute.

Millwall 0 City 1 1987-88
Arguably City’s biggest ever hooligan following, and the escorted City fans whistling the Bridge over the River Kwai theme, all the way to New Cross Station.

Huddersfield 2 City 2 FA Cup 1988
Only two months after the 10-1, City survive with a last gasp free kick from John Gidman. Also memorable for the “Crutches” incident.

Chelsea 0 City 1 1983-84
Whisper it quietly, but Stamford Bridge was a pretty scary experience around this period. The only time I’ve ever seen City win at Chelsea.

Oldham 2 City 2 1983-84
Incredibly, City’s first to Boundary Park in years was pay on the gate.
Anyone remember the ladder when the City fans invaded the Main Stand?

West Brom 1 City 0 1988-89
The inflatable craze was in full swing, and I seem to recall Brian Gayle blaming the glare from the floodlights for his costly mistake.

Two from more recent times:

Newcastle 0-2 City 2011-12
Step up Yaya Toure.

Hull 0-2 David Silva 2013-14
Turning point.

Wolves away 2-0 in 2002 was in effect a promotion match with SWP coming of age.
the 6-2 in earlier that season after being behind twice at Hillsborough was also a great match.
the 5-1 at Villa in 90/91
The 3-2 at Goodison to win the league in 2014
3-1 at Stamford Bridge in 1988
The 2-0 at Anfield in 1985
4-1 at Blackburn in 2000
4-2 at Oxford in 1989
3-2 Blackburn in 1995
5-2 Charlton in 2006
3-2 Norwich in 2005

There are many more, hard to do it in ten.
