I do believe they turned a corner today, but there are bound to be bumps along the road for a team made up of promising young players. It's important to stand by ETH and be patient. If we are we'll be competing for the Championship next season. There were so many positives to take from this game.

Fully agree. Even the galzers would not be so daft as to get rid of their record-breaking, manager of the month winning star.

My only worry would be Shrek who is already looking like a more than capable successor.

The big difference is Bacon actually bought quality players rather than the dross bought over the past decade.
I was genuinely staggered watching the game yesterday that Martial is still at the club, nevermind starting a game!
Bebe, Diouf, Obertan, Powell et al?
The rot set in when Ferguson was there.
Ten Hag is continuing Fergies tradition, he must stay.

I’m sure I remember the rags paying a record transfer fee for a young player for Martial and there being a clause in the deal that the fee be increased if he won a Ballon d'Or! Post Fergie their transfer dealings have been a joke.

Definitely encouraging signs out there today. Antony Martial rolling back the years with 65 minutes of menace, and not a gut busted in vain for any of them. McTominay’s passing finding his marker with metronomic accuracy. And Onana might look like a cat trying to swat a butterfly when he pulls off those marvellous unorthodox saves, but believe me - kids up and down the country will be copying what he does on Monday morning. If they beat a flaky Bayern next week, and the other 2 draw - let’s face it, they’re hard to separate in terms of quality - then Ten Hag will be buffing his shiny pate with the furry underfelt on his Manager of the Month trophy.

Ten Hag staying ten more years.

We should adopt the same policy as no one here will likely win the Balon d’Or.

It could save us a fortune in fees.
