It's important to remember that united are missing key players who made a major difference last year in their successful 2023/24 campaign that saw them finish in a vertigo inducing 8th place in the PL and a valiant UCL group stage exit which featured european stalwarts Copenhagen and Galatasary.

Like any other manager could deal with losing Hojlund, Mount and Shaw whilst only signing 42.5m Zirkzhee, 50m Ugarte & 15m Mazrauoi to replace them shows what he's having to deal with. We're talking world class operators here. The guy needs to be cut some slack.
