Terrible support (Sunderland view)

Have to agree atmosphere was poor yesterday..well done to the lads behind me who kept trying to get it going shame on those who werent interested.Big shout for Greenie cheers for the mini bus mate!

The Sunderland fans were pretty shit. They hadly sung at all. All they seem to do is bang on the metal at the back when they get a corner. Quite a few empty seats in the home sections too.

I didn't think our support was bad yesterday. They seem to have a chip on their shoulder, now that we have some cash, that they are somehow better fans.

Who the f*ck do Sunderland fans think they are giving us stick about our fans! Everytime there in the lower divisions the last few years there support was absolutely shocking, And in the Premier League at the Stadium of Sh*te when they go on a bad run they get booed off the pitch and people dont turn up!

We had always massive crowds even in division 2, So they should shut the f*ck up Geordie C*nts!

Apparently there were 41,800 (& something) there yesterday.

But I am afraid I agree with the Sunderland supporter that our singing was terrible yesterday. A few choruses of Blue Moon which took about 4 minutes over the whole match was dreadful and there was hardly anyone cheering our guys on. We tried a few times but it was dire.

I have noticed over the last few away games that we are not cheering/chanting/singing as much as we used to. Is there some reason for this? It just baffles me.

Sorry lads.

Man City have always been a noisy lot. I can only think that the expectancy to win every game has dampened their fire a little. If you look at the likes Blackburn and Chelsea who bought instant success, it is very much the same.

i think i have to agree with this comment made on that site.

This is the only sensible comment made on there about our support, yes it was shit y/day but the fake Geordie c*nts havn't got a clue about support and how we have followed City over the years. Try fuckin them off to the 3rd tier of English football and seeing if they attract 3k never mind 30k.

But i do feel this comment, above, could be a good observation.

erm can i feel a tad bit of jelousy coming from these sunderland suporters? dropped 2 points in the last minutes of the game so they are crying about it.

just concentrate on filling your own ground you wankers

Right this is how it was yesterday, disagree if you want, but I think it is quite truthful.

Support outside pre match at the pub just over the road with the 'tent' outside cracking, taken over by City, no trouble just lots of singing.

Support in the bar/snack areas below the stand once again great loads of noise.

Support in the ground during the game pretty piss poor, compaired to Boro away in the cup where there was only 11k in the ground we made a right effort.

Don't know what it was yesterday, with us going behind so early it seem to make it difficult to get going.

But the fact the Sunderland support drowned us out most of the time, their noise went all around the stadium, but once we scored we were well up for it, I just wish there had been another 5 mins to play as I am sure we would have sneeked it.

There was a few outbursts everynow and then but nothing major.

this is coming from a team with such loyal supporters to their club, which is why one of their so called fans in the sunderland end was waving a yellow and green norwich scarf?

Oh and a one town one team club who can't fill their own stadium despite their respectable ticket prices.
