I've just got into Kuwait after a few days out in Yemen and whilst I understand the 'failed state' view I do think there are some really good young educated people who would like to make a difference there. All the people I met were really friendly and hospitable, but I was well away from Sana'a and Aden in Hadramaut 500 km away.

There is a lot of decent people there however whilst the internal corruption goes on the country will always be on its arse

Mind you when it comes to corruption those guys are amateurs compared to the Nigerians...
