I was given a memo at work advising me the terrorist threat level had been raised to severe and i was expected to make an announcement on train to warn passengers. I told my manager i will not be a part of a culture that scares the shit out of people.

I found myself sitting near an asian lad on a train not long ago, all he had was a rucksack at his feet, but I couln't take my eyes off him for checking his demeanor thinking is he/isn't he. Fucking shitter, especially when he just got off at his stop like everyone else. Then you start feeling guilty for thinking such a thing.
The Real IRA have announced that they will bring their attacks onto mainland Britain, hence the increase of threat.
However, we now have in place a global anti terro network, new laws on detention of suspects, new techniques and technology to deal with cells of terrorists around the world based in caves and deserts.
How hard is it going to be to track these guys once they target London? They are active in Northern Ireland but I fear the apparatus hasnt swung onto them yet as its 'only Northern Ireland'. Once it happens on the mainland, GCHQ will come down with a thud and the authorities will plunder them.
